Spring in the south
Hello!!!! It is officially SPRING and I thought I would write a little blog about a few MUST-HAVES for living in the south during the spring!
Layers
I am just as eager to get rid of the layers as you are! Trust me! But we all know that spring is a tricky season. Sometimes it can be really hot and the next day it can be a little chilly. During spring, layers can look different every day. Some days, layers might just be a short sleeve, loose top with a light jacket. And other days it could be a tight top with a chunky sweatshirt over it. But always remember to check the weather before you leave the house!! If I could only give one piece of advice, it would be to always check the weather!!!
Pants
I don't think I have ever really done a section on pants in any of my blogs, but this is a great place to start! When picking an outfit, I try to always pick the bottoms first. During spring, I always go for loose-fit, somewhat comfortable pants. That could range from mom jeans to wide-legged granola girl pants (and if you don't know what those are, Google it. It will be the first thing to show up). I like to keep the bottoms loose because, during the day, it could get a little hot.
Accessories
When I think about spring, I picture riding bikes in the park and going on walks with my bffs. So with that, comes accessories. I would wear a simple (no patterns) fit with a cross-body fanny-pack. Along with chunky tennis shoes and a light jacket for the walk. Also a personal favorite of mine would definitely be a square scarf or a bandana. A simple bandana around your neck is the perfect accessory!
Always remember that you look good in what you believe you look good in. It doesn't matter what other people say about you or your outfit. Your clothes don't make you who you are!!!
with love always,
