Game Day Outfits

Today is the FIRST Arkansas Razorback football game of the season!!!! It's a monumental time for me because I have looked forward to this for a while!! Now, if you know me, you know I know nothing about football, but you also know that I love a good outfit! Game day is the perfect place to show off your creativity with your outfits. Let's talk about it!

Denim!

I wrote a blog about denim a LONG time ago, but denim is the perfect staple, especially for games days. There are so many options when it comes to denim, you can never go wrong. The easiest option for me (and probably for you), would be the classic denim dress. This is so easy to just throw on and accessorize! I always love to go all out with the 'western' attire and wear my cowgirl boots! It's always fun to fit the part, especially at the football games.

Gingham!

If you've been on Instagram in the past few weeks, I'm sure you've seen SO much gingham! Gingham of all colors, red and white, black and white, and all the school colors! I love gingham for the summer because it's such a trendy way to incorporate your own style. There are so many different ways to accessorize gingham to fit your style. I've seen so gingham sets with cowgirl boots, long gingham dresses and skirts, and even long gingham pants with a fun top. Normally, I tend to stay away from patterns (honestly, just because it's harder to work with), but I really think this pattern is simple enough to work with but also unique enough for it to be the whole outfit.

Red and White!

I could be biased, but I do think that red and white are the best (or cutest) school colors for styling. Red matches so many different colors and patterns that there are so many options for outfits. You could wear an all white outfit with red accessories, you could wear an all black outfit, or mix it up with some patterns (these can be applied to every school ever, but just picture it with red- doesn't it look so good :)). For example, a long white, flowy skirt paired with a fancy red top! Or even a red and white patterned matching set!

Football Weather

I love good fall weather, but sometimes it can be difficult to find the perfect outfit that matches the temperature. Especially in Arkansas, you never know if it will be 100 degrees or 40 degrees! The only advice I have for this is LAYERS. I've always been a big fan of layers because you can put more on than take off. Meaning you can put on and take off as many layers as you want. But there's only so many layers that you can take off. For game days, adding a light sweater or jacket into your outfit can be so beneficial. If the game is at night, it might feel like 90 degrees at kickoff, but once the sun goes down, it might get a little chilly. Plus, it's always a great accessory opportunity.

I could probably go on and on forever about southern football game outfits. This is just something that will forever stay classic and trendy all at the same time. It's fascinating to me, truly!

Also! I write these blogs not only because I enjoy it, but also because I want you share my knowledge and opinions to those who have questions or just need inspo! If you ever need inspiration or a little guidance on where to start your fashion journey, I would be happy to help. Just ask me!

with love always,

Charli
