Classy vs. trendy

This is the ultimate competition!! Classy vs. trendy. I won’t try to persuade you one way or the other, but I hope you have a little bit of a better understanding of the differences. I will be going through the pros and cons of each! I want you to make your own opinion!

Classic

PROS:

- It’s best to wear classic clothes for big events. For example, weddings, big parties, etc. When you look back at the pictures taken at the event, you don’t want to see the trends during that time. You want to look at it and think that it would still look good today.

- Classic always looks good. No matter your age or the place you are going. You will always look good. A good neutral fit always looks classic.

- There are always times to wear classic clothes. Everywhere you go, is a good place to wear classic clothes.

CONS

- Some people may think that dressing classy seems boring or not up to date. Which may lead to you not feeling or looking all that stylish.

- While always wearing classic clothes, there isn’t a lot of variety in your outfits. For the people that only wear classic clothes, there are times where you could get a little tired wearing the same type of clothes everyday.

- I know I said that everywhere you go is a good place to wear classic clothes, which is still true, but some places call for a more trendy look. For places that are popular now, there are some outfits that lean toward the trendier side that are better for the occasion.

Trendy

PROS:

- The obvious pro is that you will be seen as trendy. You will have and wear clothes that others see as cute and they will like you (not trying to be rude, just stating the obvious). There are people who only see the trends and only follow them. So when a new trend comes around, they follow it.

- Right now, the trends are mainly either bright colored fits or funky patterns. For some people, it takes a lot of confidence and courage to wear those outfits into public places (been there, done that). So this pro is mainly for the self confident gals!

CONS:

- Some people think that “trendy” has an age limit. So for the older people who dress trendy, some people don’t think it works. But in my opinion, clothes shouldn’t have an age limit. It doesn’t matter how old you are, dress how you want.

- Dressing trendy doesn’t really give you the opportunity to be creative with your fit. If you just follow what everyone else does, you don’t have the chance to experiment with your clothes.

Always remember that there is room for both types of fits in your closet! You don’t have to dress in a specific type of clothing everyday. You can always switch it up!

Always remember that you look good in what you believe you look good in. It doesn't matter what other people say about you or your outfit. Your clothes don't make you who you are!!!
