Everything Is Recycled

Hi! Hello! I hope you are ready for some inspiration because that's the goal for this blog! Today I was driving into town, thinking about my blog and fashion and clothes in general. Specifically thinking about how trends are started, I came across the thought that everything is recycled. There are so many trends that are in-style now but won't be next year. Then a few years from now, that same trend will be back in-style. Everything is recycled. There are so many positives and negatives that come with that, but that's not the point I was trying to make in this article. The point I want to make is, yes, everything is always changing yet repeating, but that doesn't mean you have to go along with it. There are some fashion statement trends that you might not want to be a part of (which is completely understandable and you should wear the clothes you want to wear, not the clothes everyone else tells you to wear), so you don't partake. But if you still want to wear the trends or the fashion forward pieces, you should be able to do so in the clothes you think fits your body type the best, or makes you the most comfortable. By doing so, you have the opportunity to create new trends. There are so many trends that started because one person saw someone else doing it and then they had to try it for themselves. The ripple effect. And this all started because you weren't comfortable in the "trendy" clothes, or you didn't have access to the "trendy" clothes or you just didn't want to wear the "trendy" clothes. Plus this new trend you have started is something you like, something you feel good in.

This doesn't only apply when you don't want to wear a specific trend. Maybe you just wanted to get creative! I love those sparks of inspiration! In this case, you might be doing someone a favor! Maybe they think your new style or trend is comfortable or fits their body well. I say all of this to say that there are no rights and wrongs to fashion. You have your personal preferences and that's what you like. You can switch up the trends that are popular now and make them your own. I want to challenge you to start something you think might be a little outside of your comfort zone. Maybe it's a color you don't normally wear or a particular style you want to try. I think for some people (like me), trying something new like switching up your style might not be too big of a deal, but to others, this challenge might be a little difficult. I hope you try something new and create when you feel creative! :)

Always remember that you look good in what you believe you look good in. It doesn't matter what other people say about you or your outfit. Your clothes don't make you who you are!!!

with love always,

charli
