How To Look Put Together in Sweatpants
Part two of the HOW TO series is here!! I feel like this one will be very helpful and I hope a few of you can relate to this one!!\
This time, we are going to look at how to look "put together" in sweats. I'm sure we can all relate to this one!! For me, I go through a few steps and call it good.
Let's Start with Hair
Ok let's be honest, some of us haven't washed our hair in a few days and we need to be reminded that we can still look put together even with unwashed hair!! Let me give you a little secret! Dry shampoo can save lives! With the sweats, we are going for a messy hair look. Which, we all know, means that it can't be too messy. So how do we do that? Well a low bun always looks good because it looks like you got ready. Low buns have a classic, hard worker look that I can't really explain. For people who don't like low buns, braids are always a good choice. Braids are so underrated and I don't understand why. Two side braids or even two French braids always look super good to me!
Shoes are Important Too
I feel like shoes get overlooked a little. For me, shoes can either make or break the outfit, especially with sweats. I know it is tempting to just wear tennis shoes and make it work. But there are so many more opportunities. For example, a chunky sneaker, simple Converse or basic Birks always work!! But remember, you can always switch it up with shoes. You don't have to wear the same shoes everyday because you think they go with everything.
A Top That Says "I Totally Meant to Look This Good with Sweats On!"
When looking for a shirt to wear with sweats, my main goals are either matching set or plain top. If I have a crewneck that matches the pants, that is always my favorite. I love having on a monochromatic fit that is as comfortable as it is cute. Pair that top with a simple necklace and you'll be set.
BUT if you don't have a matching set, a solid color shirt always works! You can add a cropped jacket or a few stacked necklaces or even a neck scarf to complete the look!! But always remember, it doesn't matter what you wear, be confident in the outfit you have on!
Always remember that you look good in what you believe you look good in. It doesn't matter what other people say about you or your outfit. You clothes don't make you who you are!!!
always with love, Charli
